SeeControl Selected by Aviva Energy to Bring the Internet of Things to Enterprise Energy Management

SeeControl has announced that Aviva Energy Corp. has selected SeeControl as the application platform to power its next-generation Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Internet of Things Cloud Services. The  subscription services by SeeControl bring advanced intelligence and analytics to enterprises struggling to map energy consumption to critical business processes.

Aviva Energy and SeeControl developed the EnergySensr platform as a solution that marries low-cost electrical, natural gas and water sub-meters with a cellular M2M gateway. The solution allows deployment of energy management within sites, buildings and facilities anywhere in the world, via a self-installation kit. It provides business process definition and mapping tools so that users can link energy usage to equipment, process, area, zone, facility or other parameter unique to their operations.

“We chose the SeeControl EnergySensr platform for its scalability, flexibility and capacity to enable a whole new class of energy management, cost allocation and load response solutions.  In thirty days, we had a market-ready solution. In sixty days, we had paying clients,” said Greg Allen, president of Aviva Energy.

“Aviva Energy is a great example of how the Internet of Things is helping transform the status quo in existing industries. Aviva is redefining how enterprises manage energy and taking share from incumbents,” said Bryan Kester, CEO of SeeControl.
