GetWireless has partnered with VisTracks, the developer of SnapTraq fleet tracking software, to provide a turn-key fleet tracking solution, also known as the connected car, using an OBDII Modem connected to the CDMA network operated by Nex-Tech Wireless.
Nex-Tech Wireless, a regional wireless carrier servicing Central and Western Kansas, identified a need to support small to medium sized businesses with a service that would provide operational efficiencies while monitoring/tracking fleet vehicles via their cellular network.
With any vehicle fleet, employee and vehicle effectiveness, and fuel consumption are becoming a progressively larger business expense. Without accurate and real time data it is difficult to identify where improvements can be made, leaving fleet operations without the tools they need to get the most from their resources.
A fleet tracking solution empowers companies by providing detailed data from their vehicles. With this valuable information, they can make decisions that create a more efficient business, with a positive impact to the company’s bottom line. The SnapTraq solution, powered by VisTracks, provides complete, up-to-the-minute data on vehicle or fleet activities in one centralized, web-based interface, as well as with mobile apps for both Apple and Android devices.
“We are pleased to partner with GetWireless and Nex-Tech Wireless to provide services to Nex-Tech Wireless’ business customers that were only available to large companies at high prices,” says Abraham Levine, VisTracks’ chief operating officer. “Nex-Tech Wireless’ customers can now achieve the benefits from the Internet of Things and successfully compete with their larger competitors with an easy-to-use and cost-effective service.”
