Low Cost Front-end IC supports Zigbee/Smart Energy

RFMW , Ltd. announces design and sales support for the RFaxisRFX2411N, a fully integrated, single-chip, single-die RFeIC (RF Front-end Integrated Circuit) incorporating all the RF functionality needed for wireless ZigBee/smart energy applications. Designed for operation in the 2.4GHz ISM band, theRFX2411Narchitecture integrates a PA, LNA, transmit and receive switching circuitry, the associated matching network, a harmonic filter and a diversity switch all in a CMOS, single-chip device. An integrated bypass mode offers flexibility for multiple system implementations.

Supporting the 802.15.4 and ZigBee standards, the RFaxisRFX2411Nprovides 24dB small signal gain in Tx mode with an output P1dB rated at 19dBm. Rx noise figure is rated at 2.5dB. TheRFX2411Noperates on supply voltages from 2.4 to 3.6V and is housed in a 3x3mm QFN package.
